I'm working on my own horror AU and also need some tips, but heres some things that helped me! 1: If you have main characters, make them have relateable traits or personalities that cause people to get attached to them. That way, if something happens to them, it appears more gruesome. 2: Design wise, there are many types of phobias that cause people to get scared or frightened easily. Trypophobia, Carnophobia and Ommetaphobia are common examples that would be easy
